Job Description:
Encompass Health Corporation is actively seeking a skilled
Hospital Maintenance Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This
position plays a crucial role in maintaining the operational
effectiveness of our healthcare facilities. The ideal candidate
will work across our in-house network of inpatient rehabilitation
hospitals to ensure a safe, functional, and comfortable environment
for both patients and staff. By joining our team, you will be part

patient care settings, including facility-based and home-based
services. Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of systems
such as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other mechanical systems to
ensure optimal performance. Respond to emergency maintenance
requests promptly to reduce downtime and disruptions to hospital
operations. Implement preventative maintenance measures to prolong
equipment life and prevent malfunctions. Maintain detailed records
of conducted maintenance work and system statuses. Ensure
compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a secure
environment. Work collaboratively with facility management to
prioritize maintenance projects. Strong mechanical and electrical
repair skills Ability to interpret blueprints, schematics, and
technical manuals Experience with HVAC systems, plumbing, and
electrical troubleshooting Good communication and problem-solving
skills Capability to manage time effectively and handle multiple
tasks simultaneously Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision
Insurance 401k Certification from the National Association of Power
Engineers (NAPE) or similar HVAC certification is preferred OSHA
Safety training certification
