Job Description Job Description Job Title: Assembler Job Description Join our dynamic woodshop manufacturing setting as an Assembler where you will play a crucial role in assembling floor components. This entry-level position is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work and have experience in construction or carpentry. You will use hammers and screws to assemble small rectangular pieces of wood, following a straightforward assembly line process. Basic skills in reading a tape measure and simple drawings are required, and occasional computer use will be necessary for work orders. Responsibilities Assemble floor components using hammers and screws. Work with an assembly line to put together wood pieces. Read and interpret basic drawings and layouts. Utilize a tape measure for precise measurements. Occasionally use a computer to complete work orders. Essential Skills Hardworking and hands-on aptitude. Experience in carpentry or construction is preferred. Proficiency in using a tape measure. Ability to read basic drawings. Basic computer literacy. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with finish carpentry and hand tools. Blueprint reading capability is a plus. Open to Spanish and Portuguese speaking candidates. Why Work Here? Work Environment Work in a large woodshop assembly manufacturing building filled with wood materials. The facility operates a 2nd shift from 3 PM to 1:30 AM, Monday through Thursday, with breaks and a lunch period. There may be opportunities for overtime on Saturdays. This is a hands-on environment suitable for those who thrive in active settings. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New Bedford, MA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
