Job Description:
Will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Art and
Architecture, global survey courses, and other Art History courses related to
the University's Art History major and Art History concentration
(including contributing to a research seminar about art historical methods
and approaches). Will teach courses required for the Bachelor of
Arts degree in Art. Will teach courses within the University's Core
Curriculum, including first and second year seminars on specialized topics.
Will teach survey and upper-level courses reflective of global and
multi-cultural approaches to the discipline. Will contribute undergraduate
academic advising. Education & Experience Requirements: PhD degree in Art History
or related field (willing to accept foreign education equivalent) plus 2
years of experience teaching museum or curatorial studies and critical
theory reflective of global and multi-cultural approaches to the
discipline. Specific skills/other requirements – must also possess 2 years
of experience in each of the following: (1) Conducting scholarly
and research activities of contemporary art in a global context; (2)
Conducting scholarly and research activities of contemporary art in a
global context outside of East/South Asian, African, and Islamic traditions;
(3) Teaching and providing student supervision of undergraduate and graduate
students; and, (4) Engaged in museum and curatorial practice or
