Job Description:

The RNLead will be a key liaison and representative of the non-provider clinicalstaff within practice leadership. Theywill be responsible for assisting with the daily assignments and on the grounddaily problem solving and be a key advocate for the clinical staff. ADMINISTRATIVE

  • Assists the Practice Manager with directdaily workflow; communicates daily goals to nursing staff
  • Daily tasks and projects are planned outand assigned to employees according to business needs. Creates a dailyassignment, communication sheet.
  • Keeps staff organized and on track. Leads by example. Influences staff to performbetter by setting a high standard.
  • Assists with the implementation ofdepartmental policies, procedures and internal controls as required
  • Monitors daily work flow of the clinical(non-provider) staff using reporting functions available to them
  • Works in conjunction with the ProfessionalDevelopment Manager to identify and educate around clinical gaps.
  • Reviews clinical tasks daily and weekly toensure that goals are being met based on the type of task and priority of the task
  • Works with practice leadership to identifyclinical needs and solutions.
  • Ensures all non-working equipment is takenout of service and sent for repairs
  • Participates in the recruiting of non-physicianclinical staff
  • Routinely provides feedback to PracticeLeadership
  • Working with cross functional teamsidentifies and assists on problem solving operational issues.
  • May participate in MIIS reporting andordering for assigned locations.
  • Assists with yearly competency follow upfor clinical staff in the department and reviews with practice leadership.
  • Assists with cross training employees toimprove unit functionality
  • Coordinates orientation of new staff intothe department CLINICAL
    • Oversees essential care of patients relatedto the assessment, promotion and maintenance of patient wellness
    • Coordinates with physicians and managementto provide optimal patient experience and best practices
    • Oversees patient needs and suggestssolutions to patient care problems based on patient care incidents. May have toperform clinical duties as needed
    • TelephoneTriage Duties for multiple specialties.
    • Assistwith Injections, Medication Administration.
    • IVPlacements
    • Abilityto assist with multiple specialties, various patient populations across the institution.
    • Assessescurrent practices on a continual basis and brainstorms ways to improve upon practicesand increase efficiency
    • Reviewscurrent clinical policies and monitors staff to ensure that correct processesare followed
    • Assistsin development plans for new processes through the participation in variouscommittees; monitors staff to ensure that correct processes are being followed QUALITY &COMPLIANCE
      • Works within legal, regulatory and ethical practice standards relevant tothe position
      • Brings potential compliance issues to manager's attention
      • Demonstrates compliance andsupport in activities and communications as observed by manager
      • Enforces policies and procedures among non-provider clinical staff
      • Promotes safety awareness through personal ownership and commitment to asafe environment
      • Complies with applicable policies and procedures
      • Safeguards the privacy and security of patient information--
      • Complies with BWPO Confidentiality and HIPAA Agreement. CUSTOMERSERVICE/RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT
        • Maintains a professional, courteous andpositive manner with all contacts
        • Conveys information clearly in writing andorally; listens with empathy; accepts constructive criticism/feedback; respondsto inquiries accurately and in a timely manner
        • Promotes positive and frequentcommunication to staff via memo's and meeting minutes
        • Work collaboratively with co-workers;participate in achieving common goals; share knowledge and expertise willingly
        • Promotes team work; offer/lend assistanceas needed PROFESSIONALRELATIONS/DEVELOPMENT
          • Willing to learn new skills, procedures, andprotocols as they are introduced
          • Attends training and masters new softwareprograms
          • Proactively seeks out training opportunities
          • Conveys interest in continuing education
          • Takes advantage of all skill building programs Other
            • Limited travel maybe required for training
            • Floating to other offices/locations mayberequired
            • Additional duties as assigned--
              • 3 years minimum prior lead experience
              • Active Massachusetts Nursing license
              • BSN highly desirable; ASN required
              • Active CPR, and BLS certification
              • IV Certification desired
