Job Description:
Responsible for designing, implementing, and evaluating
individualized Recreational Therapy services for patients with
various impairments, functioning as part of an interdisciplinary
team.
Completes assessments, develops treatment plans, and provides
therapeutic interventions in group and individual settings.
Documents care plans, progress, and discharge instructions per
policies, and educates patients and families.
Maintains certifications, supervises interns and students, and
participates in professional development.
Serves as a resource for staff, leads quality improvement efforts,
and promotes safety and best practices.
Assists with program development, policies, inventory management,
and educational initiatives.
Minimum requirements include a BS/MS in Therapeutic Recreation,
North Carolina licensure, CTRS certification, and 10+ years of
experience, demonstrating leadership and expertise in RT
interventions.
