Type: Travel Job Description American Traveler is seeking a PICU RN
for a rotating day/night position requiring recent trauma
experience and a NH or compact RN license. Responsibilities -
Position is in an 18-bed unit with 4 PICU beds, 3 step-down, and 11
pediatric med/surg beds - Care for pediatric ICU, step-down, and
pediatric med/surg patients as needed - May be required to float to
the ICN if needed - Patient acuity varies from med/surg to critical
care (level 3) - Rotating day and night shifts, 36 hours per week -
No local candidates allowed; a 75-mile radius rule applies - You
may be assigned to care for few or no critical care patients
depending on census - RNs are responsible for providing care across
all acuity levels within the unit - Applicants must live more than
75 miles from the facility - Assignment may require floating to
other pediatric areas as needed Requirements - Active NH or compact
state RN license required and must remain active throughout
assignment - Current BLS certification required - Must have recent
Level 1 or comparable Level 2 trauma experience in the last 2 years
- Pediatric critical care and med/surg experience necessary
