Job Description:

The University of Vermont Medical Center, a leader in community health and innovation, is seeking a dedicated Respiratory Therapist (either Level I or II, dependent on experience) to join our expert team in Burlington, VT. This role involves providing critical respiratory care services to patients, collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams, and implementing advanced respiratory therapy techniques to support patient breathing. The ideal candidate will have a passion for patient care and a commitment to advancing their professional skills in a dynamic and supportive environment. Assess and monitor patient respiratory functions. Administer and manage therapy that assists or improves patient breathing. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to devise effective treatment plans. Educate patients and families on respiratory care and maintenance regimens. Maintain accurate patient records and prepare medical records for patient reviews and billing. Participate in continuous education to upgrade skills and knowledge in the field. Proficiency with respiratory therapy techniques and equipment Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team Problem-solving and critical thinking skills Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Respiratory Therapist licensure in the state of Vermont BLS/ACLS Certification Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) preferred for Level II
