here. Job Summary We are seeking an Engineering Manager to join our
growing team. In this role, you will leverage your deep technical
expertise to solve challenging problems, guide technical direction,
and mentor junior engineers. At Collette, we're at the beginning of
our journey transitioning from a monolithic application stack to a
distributed, microservice-based architecture. As a leader in guided
travel, we're dedicated to crafting exceptional experiences for our
travelers. We are seeking an Engineering Manager to provide
technical leadership, design, and implementation of our next
generation Products and Pricing applications. This role requires
someone willing to play a key role in researching and developing
innovative products. Collaborating closely with various teams, you
will ensure that projects are delivered on schedule and within
budget, maintaining a high level of quality and adherence to
organizational objectives. If you are a motivated and strategic

success. A successful candidate will have a broad skillset covering
front-end, back-end, cloud technologies in Azure, and DevOps
practices in CI/CD. Primary Functions Research and develop designs
and products Work with product manager in researching and
developing innovative products. Responsible for leading and
coordinating multiple projects across diverse teams. Develop
efficient processes, executing effective strategies, and ensuring
the timely completion of projects. Work with third party vendors
for product implementation and integration with existing systems.
Lead design and development of back-end services in C#, Docker,
Kubernetes, and SQL Server and front-end applications in React, WPF
and Winforms. Lead architecture design, code reviews, and technical
discussions. Ensure quality via automated testing. Determine the
need for training and talent development Mentor Senior Software
Engineers and more junior members on the team in best practices and
technologies fostering their growth and development. Advocate for
technical excellence by establishing best practices, conducting
code reviews, and identifying opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers,
designers, and other engineers to deliver scalable and reliable
software solutions. Stay updated on emerging technologies and
industry trends, continuously enhancing your skills and knowledge
to drive innovation within the team. Identify and mitigate
technical risks, proactively developing solutions to potential
problems. Communicate complex technical concepts clearly and
concisely to both technical and non-technical audiences. Knowledge
& Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science (preferred) or
related field. 8 years of relevant work experience, demonstrating a
deep understanding of software engineering principles and
practices. 3 years of experience in managing an engineering team.
Proficiency in API design and development and with cloud
engineering, Azure services preferred. Proven track record in
building distributed microservices at scale, coupled with expertise
in relational databases, preferably SQL Server. Strong
understanding of software development best practices (e.g., version
control, testing, continuous integration/continuous delivery).
Experience mentoring and coaching junior engineers. Strong
communication skills for overseeing staff and working with other
management personnel. Strong communication skills with the ability
to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and
non-technical stakeholders. Excellent problem-solving skills and
ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Self-starter with a bias for action, a passion for innovation and
continuous learning. Experience in the travel industry preferred.
Experience in transformational projects from monolithic to
decoupled services preferred. Organizational skills for keeping
track of various budgets, employees, and schedules simultaneously
