Job Description:
Join Performance Foodservice, a leader in food distribution, as
a CDL Truck Driver, where we pride ourselves on delivering
high-quality food and food-related products across the United
States. In this critical role, you will be at the forefront of our
supply chain operations, ensuring timely and safe delivery of goods
from our distribution centers to our varied customer base,
including family-owned restaurants and large nationwide chains.
Safely operate a tractor-trailer/truck to deliver products to
customers according to the delivery schedule. Ensure all shipments
are correctly loaded and secured before departure. Inspect vehicles
for mechanical items and safety issues and perform preventative
maintenance. Plan routes and meet delivery schedules, complying
with truck driving rules and regulations. Manage documentations for
each shipment, including bills of lading, invoices, and other
necessary papers. Maintain an open communication line with dispatch
to report any issues or delays. Conduct daily logs and vehicle
inspection reports. Proficient in driving large vehicles and
managing route navigation. Strong time management and punctuality.
Excellent organizational and communication skills. Ability to
maintain calm and efficiency under pressure. Medical Insurance

Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with no serious traffic
violations in the past two years. Specific endorsements required
may include Hazardous Materials (HazMat) or Double/Triple Trailer
endorsements depending on the type of vehicle driven.
