Our client, a leader in thermal process technology, has an immediate need for a Mechanical Assembler, to join their winning team in Stoughton.

Our candidate of choice will sets up and operates machines (CNC or manual milling); performs progressive machining operations for equipment with extremely close tolerances; fits and assembles where necessary; interprets and reads blueprints in the performance of duties; and uses a combination of jigs, fixtures, and assemblies to perform machining operations



KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Assemble and install components and systems, including pipe/tubing, hoses, fittings, pumps, cylinders, and other related parts, on industrial equipment.
Fabricate and assemble structural metal products, such as framework or shells for machinery according to job order, verbal instructions, and blueprints
Develop layout and plans sequence of operations, applying knowledge of trigonometry, stock allowances for thickness, machine and welding shrinkage, and physical properties of metal.
Set up and operate fabricating machines, such as brakes, rolls, shears, flame cutters, drill presses, and edge planers.
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and other technical drawings to guide the assembly process.
Position or align components and parts either manually or with hoists
Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to assemble and install components.
Perform quality checks and inspections to ensure components are properly installed and functioning correctly.
Follow safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
Work with other assemblers, engineers, and quality control personnel.
May be required to learn new processes, tools, and equipment.
Clean and maintain work area, tools, and other equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.


KEY REQUIREMENTS:

High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of mechanical assembly experience,
Ability to understand oral and written instructions of a technical nature,
Effective English reading and writing communication skills,
Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to work with tools and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings.
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills are needed to diagnose and resolve issues.
Ability to work with precision and attention to detail.
May need to lift and move heavy components.
Ability to communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and other personnel.
