Job Description Job Description Job Title: Merchandise Analyst Duration: 6 months with potential to extend and/or convert Reports To: AVP, Presentation & Merchandise Operations Overview: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized contractor to support markdown and merchandise operations for Marmaxx Stores. This role will be critical in managing markdown processes, ensuring operational accuracy, and delivering timely updates that drive efficiency across store. Key Responsibilities: Markdown Management: Create and maintain the markdown calendar for all relevant timelines and events. Create the consolidated markdown files for new store openings and ensure accuracy across systems. Manage entry of auto-close dates in the Flex Management system and oversee approval of weekly markdown authorizations. Process markdown extension requests and communicate approvals or changes to stakeholders. Operational Support: Execute markdown-related operational tasks, ensuring compliance with company standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align markdown strategies with merchandising goals. Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison between merchandising, planning, and store operations teams for markdown-related initiatives. Provide timely updates and documentation to ensure smooth execution of markdown activities. Deliverables : Comprehensive Markdown Calendar for all relevant events. Consolidated markdown files for new store openings. Documentation supporting markdown extensions and approvals. Entry of auto-close dates in the Flex Management system. Qualifications : Familiarity with markdown processes, store operations, and merchandising principles (required) Ability to consolidate and interpret markdown data for decision-making. Strong ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy. Comfortable collaborating with cross-functional teams and presenting updates clearly. Able to translate complex data and technical information into clear, concise language for diverse audiences.
